Case Study: Branding Photography for Emily Shaw, Podcast Producer

Last month I collaborated with podcast producer Emily Shaw on branding images for her new website. Emily took advantage of my personal branding package, which included hair and makeup (by Shana Astrachan), a headshot session, and environmental branding imagery—all at my San Francisco photo studio, Tether Collective. We came away with images that represent the professional and vibrant energy Emily brings to her clients’ audio projects.

“Jaime brings the perfect mix of professionalism, attention to detail, and humor that allowed me to feel comfortable and capture photos that I love.

For my website update, I wanted to have a new headshot as well as environmental shots that could be used throughout the site. Her branding package was ideal, because it allowed time to take a variety of photos with different looks and setups during the same session. Her studio worked great, because we were able to take headshots for one look downstairs, and then move upstairs for photos in a different environment with my equipment.

I was happy to have hair and makeup included because it took that element off my plate. Like Jaime, Shana brings wonderful professionalism, expertise, and care into every detail. I was so happy with how I looked, and going into the shoot with that confidence made all the difference. It was also helpful to have Shana on hand for touch ups while we took photos.
